Than I tried to investigate more about this forum and I found an interesting thing that a member is posting visitor messages and inviting forum members to join his forum. I found it very strange because according to my knowledge, it is an infraction on various forums and they usually ban such members but here came another surprise for me that this guy neither got banned nor even a single infraction. So I started to do this for an another forum where I am Super Moderator but here came the another infraction for me asking me to refrain such activities. When I again asked the explanation, they removed those messages as these never existed and they started to complaining and infraction me for that. When I asked them for it, these guys avoiding to respond me and started some foolish like activities. Than I decided to post a thread for the admin and so other respected members can also have a info about what is going on in this community. I am explaining all this through the following screen-shots as a picture worth thousand words. Just check them below:-
So all I wanna know that is this going fair with???? IMO rules are same and equal for every member but here partiality is doing with me. When this occurred with me, I am feeling myself totally helpless so that inspired me to ask and warn about this forum. Here I am not denying that no one is good there. Of course there are some pretty sharp and intelligent people like as Vector. In this forum, only this guy is humble and responsible but forum can't be handled by a single person. Plz help me friends by giving your useful thoughts in the comments and thanks a lot for giving me your valuable time and suggestions.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteThis is Andry here. When I came to know about this blog from Kunal, I immediately dropped in and checked what is going on here as it has huge title. I am Admin of a forum so it made compulsory to review it.
Well I am quite impressed by Big Dan. You are doing a nice job and still so humble that you still talking to Kunal. When I checked your forum than I found that yup it is still required to be broadminded for such link dropping. I think that if someone writes or publishes his/her own thoughts than they must be credited for it. As we are living in such time that even a small topic may create a huge change in our life. So original authors deserves the credit. So IMO linking them back is a small contribution which we can do for them. This thing has been made compulsory in the biggest webmaster forum i.e. V7N. So I think that you should be lenient in your rules for about that. I just wanna ask you a simple question," Suppose that you have wrote a great article to best of your knowledge and research and one day you found that someone else is being credited for that by just copy paste of your article. How would you feel??" I think now you may understand the situation. In addition, Dan if you wanna communicate to me further, than feel free to contact me at skseo127@gmail.com
Kunal, I am also wanna say something to you that it is compulsory that moderators can found every single mistakes as they are too human beings. It is a moral responsibility of each forum member to maintain the forum rules and if they find a rule broken than they should report it to mods instead of start breaking it again. Hope you will get my point.
ANDRY
Thanks Andry,
ReplyDeleteNow I have a little better understanding of the situation regarding what I consider to be link dropping. I have no problem with crediting authors for the work. They wrote it, they deserve credit.
The problem from my side is that we have a good number of people that sign up everyday and post basically gibberish one line posts with links to sites they own for SEO value. We (the moderators) have to take the time to clean these up it's a big waste of our time but we do it because we love the community. When someone links out, especially a newer member we have no way to authenticate that it's a genuine link and not just for backlinks to their own sites. If we allow one we have to allow it all.
Another issue is duplicate content. We don't want copy/paste jobs. It's just silly when a snippet, link, and your opinion on the matter at hand is what's really needed. We want to promote discussion not copy content and link out to it.
There is also fact that attributing a source does not get you around the copyright law. We could still run into trouble there stateside.
That being said perhaps I was a little hasty with Kunal as after I seen his spam vistor messages I viewed his posts as someone who was trying to slip by under the radar and spam for SEO purposes.
Ya I think Kunal Singh and Andry is right if we copywriter something and give the actual path of the matter is good for readers.
